Welcome to the Nag's Head

The Nag's Head pub that once gave the area its name may no longer be around, but the charm and fantastic range of shops, restaurants and local businesses is still very much a focal part of this area of North London.

The Nag’s Head is situated on the infamous A1 which historically was one of the main routes out of London and also takes in the Seven Sisters Road.  If you are looking for high street stores or perhaps that little specialist shop for a perfect gift then Nags Head is well worth a visit.

The area caters for all needs ranging from those looking for a memorable gift, attending to that DIY disaster, a fancy new outfit or that critical ingredient for that family recipe.  With over 225 shops including Selbys, Islington’s only department store, you are bound to find what you are looking for in the Nag’s Head.

At night the area comes to life with lots of different pubs, restaurants and places to dance or watch a film, so it is perfect for a special night out!

The Nag’s Head is in close proximity to the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club’ creating a real buzz and sense of excitement on busy match days.  The area has also been the home to one or two famous faces over the years with Shirley Bassey living on Seven Sisters Road in the 1950’s and John Lyndon, also known as Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols living close by.  Other past residents of the area include Kate Winslet, Lily Allen and our very own London Mayor Boris Johnson.
